Gail King: 'Oprah Winfrey Will Not Be Baby Blue's Godmother'

Despite reports last week that Beyonce and Jay-Z had asked Oprah to be the godmother to their daughter, Oprah's long-time friend Gail King has come out to confirm that the rumours are false!

Gail appeared on 'CBS This Morning' last Friday (27 January) to set the record straight telling the presenters, "It's absolutely not true that she's the godmother."

She went on to add, "She's friends with them, of course, and likes them both very much. She's working on sending them a baby gift. She hasn't even has time to send a baby gift because she's been away."

Gail finished by saying, "Let me just say, if (that report is) true, it is news to her. It is news to her. You know, she was heading to South Africa when the baby was born."

Ok well we guess that clears that up then!
