Lady Gaga has unleashed a cutting attack on a group of Twitter.com users for mocking a gay fan of hers who took his life last year (2011) due to bullying.
The phrase #GagasCareerDiedWithJamey became one of the most popular Twitter topics on Thursday (2 February) as users made reference to teen and Gaga fan, Jamey Rodemeyer, who allegedly took his life last year (2011) after years of cruel taunts and bullying over his sexuality.
Lady Gaga became outraged once she was made aware of the craze and took to her own Twitter.com page to defend the teen.
Gaga posted, "Tweets about a 14 yr olds suicide in order to take a jab at me? Consider your integrity making fun at a dead child's pain."
She went on to add, "Direct your insults (at) Lady Gaga, I can take it. Don't bring in those who are not alive anymore to defend themselves. Be braver than that."
Gaga launched a campaign to make bullying illegal after learning that New Yorker Rodemeyer had committed suicide to escape his tormentors last September (2011).
We think this is so disgusting! We can't believe that anyone could so something like this.
If possible we love Gaga even more now for sticking up for her fans!
